802 standards

The 802 standards (called the 'eight-oh-two' standards) are a famous set of technical documents. These define and standardise techniques for networking computers together; the 802 standards were developed by the IEEE. Nearly all of today's commonly used networking technologies are part of the 802 standard family; some you may have heard of include Ethernet (802.3), Wi-fi (802.11), and Bluetooth (802.15.1).
